Travel website RoadSnacks.com recently “analyzed” criteria for 341 of the state’s most populated areas (towns with over 5,000 people) and determined which ones were the snobbiest. This analysis was based on the number of private schools in an area, people who went to college, art galleries, Whole Foods nearby and theaters, playhouses, opera houses and performance art centers in the area. They also looked at income levels and area home prices.

Roadsnack writes:

In order to rank the most stuck up people in Illinois, we had to determine what criteria makes people snobs. It isn’t a stretch to assume that people who have the highest educations, live in the nicest neighborhoods, and who attend fancy events.

So we scraped the internet for those criteria, and it spit out the answer. Like magic

All of the top twenty snobbiest places in Illinois are in the suburbs, according to Roadsnacks. The North Shore has the majority of towns on the list. As a disclaimer, Roadsnack writes the list is “based on facts and is meant as infotainment. Don’t freak out.”
