Local Artists' Works Inspire at Harper CE InspireU Expo April 14
Virtual Gallery and Arts Hunt Among Many Fun Activities at InspireU, Part of Harper Community Day
Come to InspireU on April 14th, and experience the best of what Harper Continuing Education and the Community Music and Arts Center have to offer through interactive workshops and performances from 1 to 5 p.m.
Be inspired by our Virtual Arts Gallery, featuring images of art and books created by our talented CE students and instructors. The Community Music and Arts Center (CMAC) celebrates the arts in all forms, resulting in the exciting virtual display to be unveiled April 14. See images of sculptures, bronze casting, ceramics, drawings, paintings, collage, book covers and more, all created by local artists and authors. Our presentation will run continuously on a large screen in Building D, from 1-5 p.m., and then will be posted on our CE Now! blog at harpercollegece.com.
While you're on campus, be on the lookout for hidden parcels containing books, music CDs, and small pieces of art. Most will be located in and around the D Building, but there will be a few scattered around the entire campus. These hidden works will be identified with an Arts Hunt label, and if you find one, it is yours to keep. It's our way of saying thank you for keeping the arts alive and thriving in our community.
