Marianne Schmidtke, 93, of Palatine

Marianne was born October 10, 1919 in Falken, Germany, and she passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at home in Palatine.

Marianne was the beloved wife of the late Helmut Schmidtke; loving mother of Dieter (Mary) Schmidtke and Klaus Schmidtke; loving grandmother of Michelle (Bryan) Sigg, Heidi (Brent) Jablonski and Diana (Ran Elimelech) Schmidtke; loving great-grandmother of Madelynne and Sebastian Sigg, and Ethan and Gisele Jablonski; dear daughter of the late Christian and Karolina (nee Hoffmann) Muller; and fond sister of the late Maria, Otto, Louise and Ernst Muller.

Services

Visitation for Marianne Schmidtke, 93, of Palatine for 27 years, formerly of Mt. Prospect, will be held Monday, October 14, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.   

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the New Apostolic Church, 845 E. Glencoe St., Palatine, Illinois; where she will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.  Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be used to honor Marianne’s last requests.
