Metra Train Fatally Strikes Man, 26
The accident happened Saturday afternoon near Palatine Road.
PALATINE, IL — A Metra hit and killed a 26-year-old Palatine man Saturday afternoon, according to ABC 7 Chicago.
The man was struck at about 2:30 p.m. near Palatine Road by outbound Union Pacific Northwest train No. 709, the report stated. Trains in both directions were stopped until early evening, according to an Metra alert.
Authorities have not released further information about the man.
