Motorola Solutions to Cut 200 Jobs from Chicago, Schaumburg Offices

Affected employees would be offered a severance package.

Motorola Solutions Inc. said Tuesday it plans to cut about 200 employees from its Schaumburg and Chicago offices nearly a month after the company announced it would move its global headquarters from Schaumburg to Chicago, according to the Daily Herald.

The company plans to move 800 jobs from its Schaumburg office to its office downtown Chicago by next summer with plans to keep 1,600 employees in Schaumburg, the newspaper reports.
