New Eagle Scout for Boy Scout Troop 188

Graham Dano of Palatine Boy Scout Troop 188 recently earned his Eagle Scout Rank at his Court of honor on July 25th, 2016. His Eagle Project took place at Pleasant Hill School on the 26th-27th of September 2015, and involved repairing fencing for two outdoor classrooms. It also included scraping, sanding, priming and repainting approximately 120 linear feet of steel tubing railings located between the playground and the rear entrance of the school that serves approximately 600 students daily.

Graham graduated from William Fremd High School in June of 2016 and, in addition to his scouting activities, was involved in Fremd Chambers Singers his senior year, Fremd Speech Team his freshman and sophomore years, and the 2015 Fremd Foreign Exchange Club trip to Spain, not to mention the Viking Theatre Program all four years. As part of the acting program at Fremd, he most recently portrayed Uncle Max in "The Sound of Music" and Egeus in William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream. He plans to attend Illinois Wesleyan University this fall, and double-major in secondary education and history.
