New Palatine Animal Hospital Gets Early OK From Village
The Palatine Plan Commission recommended a special-use permit for a proposed clinic at Quentin Corners Shopping Center.

PALATINE, IL — A proposed animal hospital received an initial recommendation this week from the Palatine Plan Commission to open in the Quentin Corners Shopping Center, the Daily Herald reports. The village board will vote on a special-use permit and give the possible clinic final approval at its Oct. 16 meeting.
The 1,196-square-foot hospital, which will mostly likely be known as the Quentin Road Animal Hospital, is being opened by Dr. Sourabh Dhawan, who also runs clinics in North Aurora, Elgin and Huntley, the report stated. It will replace a dental care office that had been at that location, the report added.
Described as a smaller animal hospital, the facility will be equipped with four exam rooms, and the practice will focus on vaccinations and outpatient services for dogs and cats, the report stated. Overnight care for animals will not be provided at the clinic, the report added. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest Palatine news. And iPhone users: Check out Patch's new app.)

Owners for the shopping center at Quentin Road and Northwest Highway are in favor of adding the animal hospital, the report stated. So far, the plaza is around 94 percent capacity, the report added.
