Outdoor Retail Chain Sierra Opening In Schaumburg This Weekend
Owned by TJ Maxx companies, the 16,000-square-foot store will hold a grand opening with giveaways on Aug. 17.
SCHAUMBURG, IL — Sierra, an off-price retailer that sells outdoor and active brands, will open its newest location in Schaumberg on Saturday, August 17. Sierra sells apparel, footwear, and gear for the whole family.
Sierra is owned by TJ Maxx companies, which also runs TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and HomeGoods, according to a news release. The chain, which sells apparel and gear for running, yoga, camping, hiking and more, currently has three other stores in Illinois.
The 15,946-square-foot store, located at 1540 East Golf Road, will hold a grand opening on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The celebration will include giveaways, music and more.

“Sierra provides excellent value and selection on the top brands for all your active and outdoor lifestyle needs,” said Sierra Marketing Director Gennifer Hobbs. “We believe everyone can participate in outdoor and fitness activities, and want our products to feel accessible to everyone who walks through our doors or shops our site online.”
Regular hours for the store, located within Woodfield Village Green, are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday.
