PALATINE, IL — Mac's on Slade has shut its doors after owners gave up the business's liquor license this past week, according to the Daily Herald. After learning that Mac's was operating without a state of Illinois liquor license, village Manager Reid Ottesen said the village sent a notice to the business that its liquor license had been suspended and a hearing on the suspension was scheduled.

But, instead of contesting the suspension, Mac's surrendered its license Wednesday afternoon, according to the Daily Herald. The business at 117 W. Slade Street was most recently managed by Jeff Van Horn and has run into licensing issues in the past with the village.
