Palatine High School Spring Band Concert

On Wednesday, May 6th, the Palatine High School Band will host their Spring Band Concert. Their program will include classics such as Malcolm Arnold’s “Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo,” and contemporary works including “The Great Steamboat Race” and “See Rock City.” At this concert, the PHS Band program will also recognize it’s seniors for their hard work and dedication over their four year career in high school. Awards to be given at the concert include the Louis Armstrong Award, John Phillip Sousa Award and the USMC Semper Fidelis Award.

The Palatine High School Band Program recent honors and accolades include Superior ratings at the IHSA Organization Contest in April, Superior Ratings at the North Shore Jazz Festival two years in a row, and a performance in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World – Orlando, Florida in 2014.

The concert starts at 7:30pm in the Altergott auditorium; general admission is $2. There will also be a reception in the cafeteria following the concert in honor of the graduating seniors. All audience members are welcome to enjoy desserts and celebrate the graduating class of 2015!
