Palatine Man Accused In Chicago Bank Robbery Spree
Federal officials charged Matthew Silberman in connection with the robbery of several banks.

PALATINE, IL - A Palatine man who was reported missing last month has been accused of going on a bank robbery spree in Chicago. Matthew Silberman has been charged federally in connection with either robbing or attempting to rob four banks in December, the Chicago Tribune reports.
An unsealed criminal complaint by the FBI indicates Silberman, 27, stole more than $3,000 total from the Fifth Third Bank at 601 S. Clark St., a US Bank at 5201 W. Madison St., Chase Bank at 10 S. Dearborn St. and Chase Bank at 55 E. Monroe St.
Between robberies, the Tribune report indicates he was found unresponsive at a store on the city's West Side suffering from drugs or alcohol.
