PALATINE, IL — The field for April's villlage election is set, and the five incumbents up for re-election will be running unopposed, the Daily Herald reports.

The following elected officials were the only candidates to file the necessary forms to offically appear on the spring ballot:

  • Village Clerk Marg Duer, serving since 1989 and running for an eighth term
  • Trustee Brad Helms (District 6), serving since 2005 and running for a fourth term
  • Trustee Tim Millar (District 1), serving since 2013 and running for a second term
  • Trustee Greg Solberg (District 4), serving since 1987 and running for a seventh full term

Although their names won't appear on the April 4 ballot, write-in candidates can officially enter the race by filing election paperwork no later than Feb. 3, the report stated.
