Palatine Oktoberfest Returns This Weekend
The Palatine Oktoberfest will be held from Sept. 19 through Sept. 21 across from the Palatine Metra station.

Palatine’s Oktoberfest will kick off this Friday evening and continue through Sunday.
Oktoberfest, which is hosted by the Rotary Club of Palatine, will be held across from the Palatine Metra station, 150 W. Slade St. in Palatine.
The festival will begin Friday evening at 5 p.m. with a short parade and the tapping of a ceremonial keg on the main stage, according to the Oktoberfest website. Following the ceremony Jimmy’s Bavarians will take the stage followed by a performance by Phenix.

Family day activities will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Scarecrows on Parade will take place Saturday when scarecrows will be delivered at the Fireman’s Memorial between 12 and 12:30 p.m. Judging will start at noon, with an awards ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Full details and photos at the village website.
