Palatine Teen Accused of Sexually Assaulting 2 Children

Joseph L. Griffin, 18, was arrested Tuesday after 2 family members younger than 10 claim he assaulted them multiple times.

PALATINE, IL—Police arrested an 18-year-old Monday for allegedly sexually assaulting two children, according to a village press release.

Joseph L. Griffin, of the 1300 block of North Whitewater Lane, was charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. His bond hearing is Wednesday, July 20, and he is currently in Palatine police custody.

Griffin is accused of assaulting two family members who are younger than 10, police say. Authorities began an investigation after the victims claimed Griffin assaulted them multiple times while they were lived at his Palatine home.

Griffin gave police a video-taped confession concerning the victims' allegations during the investigation, according to the village release.
