Palatine Township honors Walter R. Sundling Jr. High School

Palatine Township honored Walter R. Sundling Jr. High School at its regular board meeting on Monday, September 27, 2021. Walter R. Sundling Jr. High School had just received their 2021 National Blue Ribbon Award for their progress in closing the achievement gaps among student subgroups.

Supervisor Andy-John G. Kalkounos presented the Certificate of Recognition to Principal Jason Dietz and Assistant Principal Kelly Rice. Representative Tom Morrison, also in attendance, presented a certificate on behalf of the State of Illinois.

Walter R. Sundling Jr. High School is only one of 18 schools in the State of Illinois to receive this award. “It’s with great pride that Palatine Township honors our hometown school for their designation as a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School” said Supervisor Andy-John G. Kalkounos.
