Palatine Township Kicks Off 38th Annual Back to School Supplies Program
Community Collection of School Supplies at Palatine Independence Day Parade

Palatine Township is proud to launch its 38th Back to School Supplies Program with a community collection event during the Palatine Jaycees Hometown Fest Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2026. During the parade, the Township will be collecting non-perishable food items and new school supplies to support local students and families in need across the community.
"As someone who has called Palatine Township home for many years, I've seen firsthand what our community can accomplish when we come together," said Township Supervisor Andy-John G. Kalkounos. "For 38 years, this program has reflected the generosity of our community, ensuring students have the supplies they need while supporting families facing food insecurity. Together, we can make a real difference."

All tax deductible donations to Palatine Township Foundation, Inc. directly benefit pre-registered students residing in Palatine Township. For nearly four decades, this program has helped ensure that Kindergarten through 12th grade students across our community begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.
Palatine Township is your primary source of humanitarian aid in our community. The Township provides numerous services and events for its 115,000 residents and supports 35 social service agencies located within its boundaries. The Township is one of the most heavily populated in Illinois, with a mission to enhance and improve the quality of life for all residents.
