Palatine Township Seeks Applications for Community Mental Health Board

Palatine Township is seeking applications from residents with experience or interest in mental health, developmental disabilities, or substance use issues. Cover letters and resumes must be submitted by May 27 at 5:00 PM CST to aj@palatinetownship-il.gov. Selected applicants may be invited for interviews starting June 2, 2025. Township Supervisor Andy-John G. Kalkounos will appoint seven members to the board by June 21. Appointments are expected to be announced at the June 9 Committee of the Whole Meeting.
The Mental Health Board will hold its first meeting before July 1, 2025 to elect officers, set operational rules, and begin work on a Community Needs Assessment, which will guide funding decisions and service priorities.
