Palatine Township Seeks Resident to Serve on Rural Fire Protection District Board

The open term would run from May 1, 2017 to April 30, 2020. Resumes are being accepted by the Palatine Township Supervisor.

Palatine Township is actively seeking an individual who will serve on the Palatine Rural Fire Protection District board. The open board seat is for a three-year term that begins on May 1, 2017. The term expires on April 30, 2020.

“We are seeking candidates who have a passion for the community, and are willing to dedicate their time for the betterment of the fire protection district and its residents,” said Sharon Langlotz-Johnson, the Palatine Township supervisor. “Individuals interested in applying should reside within the borders of the Palatine Township Rural Fire Protection District service area.”

The Board of Trustees consists of three board seats, and its members meet once per month. Each board member is assigned to a three-year term. Responsibilities include managing budgets, approving contracts and overseeing the administration of the department. The overall role of the board is to supervise, control, regulate and manage the rural fire protection district.
