Palatine's Top 5 Finishers in the Chicago Marathon

One runner from the village, Heather Crowe, placed in the top 50 of the women's division in Sunday's race.

Thousands of runners from around the world took to the streets of Chicago on Sunday to race in the Chicago Marathon. That included a large number of participants from Palatine.

Runners from the village might not have won the marathon — Kenyan runners Abel Kirui and Florence Kiplagat were the first-place finishers in the men's and women's divisons, respectively — but they did post some more-than-respectable times in the race. In fact, Heather Crowe, 25, placed in the top 50 in the women's division.

Here's a look at the Chicago Marathon's top five finishers from Palatine in the men's and women's divisions, along with their times and their placings in the division and overall.
