The Palatine Township Board is considering paying someone $50 a meeting to make sure board meetings run smoothly.

PALATINE, IL - The Palatine Township Board is considering a rare move to hire a Parliamentarian. It will cost the township around $50 a meeting for the Parliamentarian to help ensure meetings run smoothly, according to a report from CBS-Chicago.

Trustees chose to delay a vote on making the hire at their most recent meeting in order to have more discussions about the topic. The person who serves in the role will be an expert at meeting rules and decorum.
