Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Metra Train In Palatine

Metra said service on the Union Pacific Northwest line was suspended after the crash Friday morning.

PALATINE, IL — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a Metra train early Friday morning in Palatine.

Metra said Union Pacific Northwest train No. 602 hit the pedestrian at about 5:10 a.m. near Baldwin Road and Northwest Highway, according to CBS Chicago.

The pedestrian died at the scene and had not been identified as of Friday morning.
