Pettingill Selected as Third Team All-American

2015 NJCAA DIII Baseball All-Americans

The Harper baseball program now has its second All-American in as many years. Roy Pettingill (Mount Prospect, Ill. /St. Viator) was named a 2015 NJCAA DIII Baseball Third Team All-American, as announced by the NJCAA national office.

The freshman designated hitter hit for a .343 average with two home runs, a team-best 26 RBIs, 14 runs scored, 47 hits, 10 doubles, and a .460 slugging percentage in 42 games. He also warranted First Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference distinctions.

Harper third baseman Kurt Becker (Palatine, Ill./Palatine) was named a 2014 NJCAA DIII Baseball Second Team All-American last season for the Hawks. Becker became the first Harper baseball All-American since Vine Edward received All-American recognition in 1997 for the Hawks.
