Police Seek Public's Help In Locating Arsonist: Authorities
The man is accused of starting a car on fire in Palatine last weekend, police said.

PALATINE, IL — Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a man accused of starting a vehicle on fire in a parking lot last weekend in Palatine, police said Thursday. The arson occurred at about 2 p.m. on Sept. 8 in the parking lot of 1 Renaissance Place.
Police have been able to get a physical description and a photo of the suspect after reviewing footage from a surveillance camera, according to a news release from the Palatine Police Department.
The alleged arsonist is described as being a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old. He is between 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 5-feet, 10-inches tall and has a medium to heavy build. He was wearing a black jacket and black pants at the time of the fire.
