Portillo's Pop-Up Shop Coming To Woodfield Mall

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Scratch and sniff wallpaper, cheese dripping from the ceiling of a "French Fry Room" and an onion ring swing will all be part of the decor at the first-ever Portillo's pop-up shop set to open next month at Woodfield Mall. You won't be able to eat the food at the Woodfield Mall location, but you can order packaged Italian beef, French bread, peppers and whole chocolate cakes, according to a news release.

Visitors can also pick from a variety of Portillo’s branded merchandise. Those items, which could make a great holiday gift for a Portillo's aficionado, include hot dog handcuffs and a Portillo's baby swaddle, according to NBC Chicago.

Portillo's Pop-Up Experience is set to open on Nov. 6 and will remain open through Dec. 31. The shop will be located at the entrance between JC Penney and Nordstrom

Free tickets are required for entrance to the store and are available online. The pop-up shop is also hiring and interested candidates can apply online.
