Palatine Art School to host open house fundraising event
Positive Strokes Art School and Gallery's annual Open House is a fun weekend filled with activities for kids and adults including raffles for fun filled Mega Baskets and a Silent Auction to fund the School's Scholarship Fund for Kids.
Owner Marlene wood opened Positive Strokes in 2000 to give kids and adults the opportunity to learn art in a fun, relaxed and progressive way. The philosophy of the school is that art is a way for personal expression and boosts self esteem and creative problem solving skills.
The Scholarship Fund give kids, who normally could not afford art classes, a chance to develop these skills.
