Prosecutors Accuse Palatine Man of Fondling Hearing-Impaired Girl

A Palatine man faces sexual abuse charges after being accused of fondling a 14-year-old hearing-impaired girl from Wisconsin, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Cory A. Stoval, 24, was charged Thursday with felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse, the report stated.

Prosecutors accuse Stoval, who has past battery and controlled substances convictions, of touching the teen's genital area over her clothes while she was sleeping on March 22, according to the Tribune. The girl, who was visiting her sister in Palatine at the time, then texted her mother about the alleged incident, the report added.

The teen's mother called police, and Stoval was arrested Wednesday.
