Raymond Orsi, 101

Raymond Orsi, 101, born April 28, 1911 in Chicago, he passed away peacefully on May 19, 2012.  He was a WWII Army Air Corp Veteran. 

Beloved husband of the late Lucille, nee Mariani.  Loving father of Madeleine (Vincent) DiGiannantonio.  Cherished grandfather of Christina (Christopher) Sachs and Danielle DiGiannantonio.  Great grandfather of Gianna and Nathan Sachs.  Dear brother of the late Evo Orsi.  Fond uncle of two nieces, Carole Adinolfi and Evonne Morton, living in California.

In Raymond's youth, he used to draw for his school newspaper.  He later worked in the Art Department/Sales for a millinery store in Chicago.  After the war, he focused his career on sales, then moved onto the US Post Office at O'Hare. After his retirement, Raymond and his wife Lucille moved to Devonshire in Hoffman Estates.

Visitation Tuesday, May 22, 2012, 4-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, May 23, 2012, 9:30 a.m. from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy., Palatine to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine for Mass at 10 am.  Entombment All Saints Mausoleum.
