The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is inviting families across Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana to start their adventure by registering for Scouting on September 15th at a local school. Each new Scout will receive a free model rocket to build and launch with their whole family at an upcoming Adventure Day!

Scouting's programs are expertly tailored to match each age in a young boy's life. Cub Scouts is geared toward boys age 7-10 years old/grades 1-5, and Boy Scouts is designed for boys and young men age 11-17. But no matter the age, Scouting can help young people go places and do things they never thought possible.

From turning a block of wood into a race car, to climbing mountains or shooting arrows; Scouts go on amazing adventures while learning new skills, helping others, and building self-esteem.

Boy Scouts of America is building off its more than one hundred years of history by incorporating more science, technology, and engineering-based initiatives into its programs. Presenting new families with their own rockets and providing a platform to launch them is just one of many examples of these innovative programs.

Thousands of BSA parent volunteers will be at local elementary and middle schools from 7-8 p.m. on September 15th to answer questions, register new Scouts and hand out the free model rockets.
