Rep. Krishnamoorthi Celebrates Funding for Wood Dale's Central Park
Rep. Krishnamoorthi Presents Wood Dale Park District with $324,475 in Funding He Secured for Wood Dale Central Park Re-Development Project
SCHAUMBURG, IL – On Monday, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi presented the Wood Dale Park District with a check for $324,475 in honor of the federal funding he helped secure for the Wood Dale Central Park Redevelopment Project as part of this year’s government funding package. The funding will go towards the construction of a new playground at Wood Dale Central Park.
“As the father of three children, I can personally attest to the impact that parks and playgrounds have on a child’s development, which is why I am so pleased to have been able to secure this federal funding for Wood Dale Central Park’s Redevelopment Project,” said Congressman Krishnamoorthi. “I look forward to watching the progress of this project so that more families are able to enjoy all the benefits the park has to offer
The federal funding secured by Congressman Krishnamoorthi will go towards implementation of Phase 2 of the Central Park Redevelopment Project. Phase 2 includes construction of a playground and adult fitness stations.
