Residential Burglary
On Jan. 8 between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the 0-100 block of S. Greeley St., an unknown offender(s) made entry to a residence via force to the front door. The victim reported jewelry (unknown amount /value) taken from the main bedroom and closet. The burglary is under investigation.

Retail Theft
Zachary J. Aldridge, 19, of the 1300 block of Shadow Lake Terrace, was arrested and charged with retail theft on Jan. 8 at Jewel, 423 E. Dundee Road. An employee observed Aldridge conceal a bottle of alcohol (unknown value) and pass the last point of sale without payment.

DUI
Jorge Ramos-Lemus, 27, Arlington Heights was arrested on Jan. 3 at 2:45 a.m. at southbound N. Frontage Road at N. Bayside Drive. Charges included DUI and improper lane usage.
