The Fremd Vikings lost 27-14 to the Rolling Meadows Mustangs in a Mid-Suburban League crossover Friday night.
The Vikings (2-2) made moves up the field, according to the Daily Herald, Fremd’s quarterback, Sam Beutler completed 17-of-30 passes for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns but the Vikings made too many mistakes to come out on top. The Mustangs (3-1) forced 6 turnovers, had 5 sacks and 5 passes batted down, the Daily Herald reports.
Playing at Rolling Meadows Friday night, fans in both Viking and Mustang fans wore orange in honor of to former Fremd student Brian Larsen, who passed away last year after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis, the Daily Herald reports.
