Sarti Scores Game-Winner in Overtime

Both Harper and Joliet offenses were held at bay for 98 minutes before Hawks forward Angel Sarti (/Hoffman Estates) delivered in a big way. He took a pass from Matt Kitsis (Huntley, Ill./Huntley) and chipped the ball over the Joliet goalkeeper’s head on a breakaway to give the Hawks a thrilling 1-0 victory over the Wolves.

The win keeps Harper (2-1-1, 2-0 N4C) unblemished in N4C play through two contests. Hawks goalkeeper Jacob Goldstein (Buffalo Grove, Ill. /Stevenson ) (2-1-1) made nine saves and picked up the victory. Wolves (3-2, 1-1 N4C) goalkeeper Richard Wyskiel made 10 saves but got the loss.

The Hawks return to action at home on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 4 PM against Triton College (3-0, 2-0 N4C). The two teams last met Oct. 22, 2014 in the Region IV Semifinals, a game won 1-0 by Harper to advance to the Region IV Championship.
