Shots Fired Near Palatine High School: Cops
Police are investigating what they consider to be a gang-related incident that unfolded near Palatine High School Tuesday afternoon.

PALATINE, IL - Palatine police officers who responded to a call of "possible shots fired" in the 1300 block of North Rohlwing Road Tuesday afternoon determined shots had been fired at the area near Palatine High School. No one was injured in the incident and no one has been charged as of Tuesday night, but police are looking for tips from the public.
The person who called 911 at 3:30 p.m. told police that several subjects appeared to be fighting in the area, according to police. As the group began to run, the caller said they heard several "pops" they believed could have been gunshots.
"Information and evidence located at the scene confirm gunshots were fired in that area," police said in a statement.

The incident remains under investigation, but police say it "appears to be gang related."
