Sign up for Palatine Library’s Winter Reading Challenge

Read to Feed and Give Back to Help Those in Need in the Community!

Palatine Library Winter Reading Challenge: Read to Feed begins Monday, December 17 through Thursday, January 31. For a fourth year in a row, participants are challenged to help those in need in the community—just by reading! When all participants read a combined total of 6000 books, Palatine Bank and Trust, and Andigo Credit Union will each donate $1,000 to the Palatine Township Food Pantry; and Mathnasium, Palatine and Who is Hussain Organization (international charity) will each donate $500, for a $3000 grand total donation. The Palatine Township Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides assistance to anyone in need living with Township boundaries.

All valid District cardholders may participate in the Winter Reading Challenge with their own Library card. Sign up is easy! Visit www.palatinelibrary.org and manage your reading progress, or come to any Library location and staff will help you. Sign up and receive a registration prize—while supplies last! Funded by the Friends of Palatine Library.

Look for weekly Winter Reading Challenge updates at the Main Library and online to see how many books have been read. Upon finishing the program, participants will be entered into a drawing by age category (child, teen, or adult) for a chance to win an amazing gift bag filled with incredible prizes, generously donated by Best Brains, Palatine; Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano, Deer Park; Borne2Dance, Inc.; D’Vine Wine and Gifts; Granite City Food & Brewery, Schaumburg; In Style Hair Studio, Palatine; JP Wood Martial Arts; Just Peachy Photography; The Music Room; Palatine Park District; Photos Hot Dogs; and XSPORT FITNESS, 960 W.
