Obituary: Sister Pauline de St. Eugene Medina

Little Sister of the Poor, served in Palatine 32 years.

Sister Pauline de St. Eugene Medina, Little Sister of the Poor, died March 17, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Home, Palatine.

One of 12 children, she was born in Medellin, Colombia May 28, 1915. Pronounced her vows in Colombia June 27, 1941 then spent her entire religious life of 72 years in the USA. Joyfully ministered to the elderly in various 
assignments, both in Chicago and 32 years in Palatine.

Sister Pauline had the happiness to share her religious vocation with her sister, Sr. Marie Pauline de Ste. Helene (LSP Kansas City). Survived by her sister Ofelia Medina de Ochoa as well as nephews and nieces in Colombia.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 20th from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wake service at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Friday.
 
Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Contributions in honor of Sr. Pauline’s life may be offered to the Little Sister of the Poor, 80 West Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067.
