List of 2015-16 NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year
The Harper College softball program was recognized as a 2015-16 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year yesterday by the NJCAA national office.
The Hawks earned the distinction by having a team GPA of 3.10, exceeding the minimum 3.0 requirement. For a full list of the teams who were honored, click here.
In addition to the academic success, first year head Scott Plaza's team also saw significant growth on the diamond in the spring of 2016. Harper had an All-Region and All-Conference player in Jordan Dallmann (Roselle, Ill. /Lake Park) and a Region IV All-Tournament Team player in Courtney Russ(Lake Zurich, Ill. /Lake Zurich).
The Harper College volleyball program was the other Harper team recognized for its success in the classroom.
