"We are thrilled to again be hosting this annual golf outing with a fun, 'Caddyshack' theme, so that The Bridge can continue to provide vital services to individuals and families who are experiencing trauma," said Alana Flatley, the organization's development director.
Due to the ongoing uncertainty from the state capitol, Executive Director Gregg Stockey explains the importance of working toward less reliance on state funding.

“With such ongoing uncertainty, the need to raise additional private funding is now more important than ever,” Stockey said. “Despite the recent news about Illinois finally approving a budget, we recently learned The Bridge will not be receiving nearly $70,000 for our Youth Advocacy Prevention program in FY 2018, and the United Way will also be reducing our grant by $30,000 due to their campaign results.”
The golf outing fundraiser is held each year in honor of Peter D. Cunneen, who passed away in 2008, and was the executive director of the organization for 23 years. The Bridge highlights Cunneen's years of commitment to its growth and survival, through naming the golf outing in his honor.
