These Suburban Counties Have Been Ranked Among the Healthiest in State

Several suburban counties received high marks in annual health rankings released this past week by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. DuPage County was ranked as the healthiest of the 102 counties in the state.

Other suburban counties included on the list were: Kendall County (No. 2), McHenry County (No. 4), Kane County (No. 13) and Will County (No. 14). Cook County was ranked No. 64 on the list.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation rankings are based on quality of life factors such as longevity and overall health status, including physical and mental health, according to a DuPage County press release. The rankings cover counties in all 50 states and include two separate categories, including Health Outcomes (how healthy we are) and Health Factors (how healthy we can be).
