Tony's Finer Foods Opening in Former Schaumburg Dominick's Building

Tony’s Finer Foods will be opening a grocery store in a former Dominick’s space in Schaumburg.

The grocery store will be located at Town Square of Schaumburg at 200 S. Roselle Road, according to a Transwestern press release.

Tony’s Finer Foods purchased the 96,014-square-foot retail center for an undisclosed amount. The Dominick’s closed in 2013.

“Given the lack of grocery stores within a 3-mile radius of the property, this was a compelling opportunity foranother grocer,” said Transwestern Capital Markets Directors Janice Sellis. “The buyer is a well-established, family-owned chain that has a history of successfully converting former Dominick’s stores to fit its format. Tony’s will benefit from the location’s high traffic counts and densely populated neighborhoods in the surrounding area.”

Tenants of the 90 percent-occupied center include Bonefish Grill, GNC, Chiro One, Scottrade Inc., Sylvan Learning Inc. and Hair Cuttery.

Tony’s Finer Food has locations in Hanover Park, Itasca, Melrose Park, Countryside, Plainfield and Chicago.
