Walkability is reported to be one of the most important factors people consider when choosing the location of their homes. The quality of neighborhood safety and walkways along with the distance to amenities such as grocery stores, laundromats, schools and restaurants play a large factor in cities walkability scores. People who value walkability are interested in being close to their children’s schools, grocery stores and restaurants. But it’s not only about convenience, being physically able to get where you need to be without transportation is vital.

Getting active and walking to do errands is a great alternative to driving or using public transportation, especially when the weather is beautiful outside.
