Police responded to a robbery report just before midnight Saturday, Oct. 29, in the 700 block of East Rand Grove Lane. The victim told officers he was walking through an apartment complex's parking area when three people approached him and started up a conversation.
Unexpectedly, one of the individuals punched the victim in the face, police said. The victim then was tackled to the ground as he tried to escape, and the trio continued to punch and kick him while he was on the ground, according to police.
