Palatine Public Library District hosts a Volunteer Fair for adults on Saturday, April 21, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Stop by any time during this event to learn about these, and other organizations in the area looking for volunteers: Barb’s Precious Rescue; Buddy Foundation; The Center for Enriched Living; Clearbrook; Community Threads of Arlington Heights; Habitat for Humanity; Ignation Volunteer Corps; Journey Care; Journeys: The Road Home; Lutheran Home; Northwest Special Recreation Association; Palatine Library; Palatine Park District; Palatine Township Senior Citizen Council; and Wings.

“Helping others through service, teaching, or active caring not only helps those in need but also helps the volunteer find a fulfilling way to share their heart,” says Information Services Department Library Associate, Gayle Weyland. “Volunteering is maintaining kindness in humanity and Palatine Library is pleased to offer these opportunities to the community,” she adds.
