Palatine 4th of July Fireworks: When and Where to Watch

Palatine, IL—Once again, Hometown Fest will celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade, carnival rides and a pyrotechnic display.

Fireworks are scheduled to begin at dusk—about 9 p.m.—on Sunday, July 3, at Community Park, 262 E. Palatine Road.

Sunday's show is just one part of the five-day festival, which is sponsored by the Palatine Jaycees and begins Thursday, June 30. Here are some of the other activities featured during the Independence Day celebration:

• the annual Fourth of July parade at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2
• the Hometown Toss baggo tournament at 2:30 p.m. Saturday
• live musical acts throughout the day from Thursday, June 30, until Monday, July 4
