The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Many severe issues face our Congress. The supply and unlawful use of firearms is responsible for the slaughter of tens of thousands of Americans each year, yet a Congress fails perennially to stem the manufacture of assault weapons for civilian use. I've authored legislation to halt the domestic manufacture of firearms for a period of 5 years, and to raise the costs of those profiting from their sales.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

My opponent is a feckless lawmaker who flatters himself by renaming post offices in honor of American veterans, yet who shamelessly takes money from manufacturers of weapons of war. The incumbent has voted to appropriate nearly a trillion dollars to the Department of Defense, and billions more in the name of 'border security.' I will never consent to a rule of law which bankrolls war or incarcerates children.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

The incumbent was elected for the first time in 2016, an election he insists was a fair and free one, and has worked tirelessly, by the banal habits of bipartisanship, to legitimize an opposition comprising fascists, criminals, and dimwits. The incumbent boasts about his accomplishments, yet the only bill he authored which has become a public law renamed a post office in Bloomingdale. The incumbent failed moreover to mount an effective opposition to kleptocracy and fraud adhering an office of a President, and he failed to write a coherent article of impeachment when a country needed one.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

I have authored a bill to provision citizenship to persons in the US desirous of it, a bill to halt the domestic manufacture and importation of firearms for a period of 5 years, and a bill which gives monetary expression to many of the matters outlined in the Green New Deal resolution. I have also revised the Equal Rights Amendment so that 100 years of denying women equal protection under the law might come to an end.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I'm unsure any accomplishment might serve as reliable evidence that a person can handle the job of competent congressional representation, particularly during a time when deceit and privilege are rewarded with fawning bipartisanship. I submit furthermore that not a single member of the Illinois delegation to the US Congress has adequately handled matters which came before them during the 116th US Congress, and that it's time to admit our polity has succumbed to a dim and grotesque authoritarianism.

If you win this position, what accomplishment would make your term in office as a success?

Persons standing for a public office don't 'win' a position, they sometimes earn it, and other times are elected in spite of their reprehensible positions adhering public law. I'm unsure what accomplishments might render one to consider a term in office a success, yet I'm certain a status quo of militarizing borders and incarcerating children are abject failures shared by not a few members of the US Congress.

Why should voters trust you?

I have met thousands of voters to discuss our political circumstances. We have spoken of endless wars, economic inequalities, gender and racial discrimination, exorbitant taxes and, among not a few others, the perniciousness of a despotic rogue exercising powers of presidency. I trust in the sentiments shared with me by voters, and the voters with whom I spoke have excellent reason to trust that I will represent those sentiments in the US Congress.

What are your views on fiscal policy, government spending and the use of taxpayer dollars in the office you are seeking?

The Department of Defense is too big to audit, yet my opponent and his craven colleagues appropriate billions upon billions in exchange for contributions from weapons manufacturers and war profiteers. The financing of campaigns which take money from defense contractors is akin to a racket, and it renders a world ravaged by an American empire as bludgeoning and cruel as it is indiscriminate and clumsy.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Persons in an executive branch of the United States government have thieved commonwealth, destroyed families, spoiled a press, and ruined a judiciary. Meanwhile, an incumbent for the 8th Congressional district of Illinois touts his commitment to bipartisanship. I will refuse to entreat members of Congress to lawmaking, whether they be opposition or no, who insist upon compromises with bigotry or fraud.
