Window Smashed On Van Parked At YMCA: Cops

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

On Dec. 27 between 9 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. at the YMCA, 1400 W. Northwest Highway an unknown offender(s) smashed the front driver side window of the victim’s 2013 Honda van and removed a purse and contents of an unknown total.

Theft

Between Dec. 28 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. an unknown subject(s) removed the victim’s wallet from their purse and took out cash and one credit card. The victim believed the theft occurred while shopping at Jewel, 423 E. Dundee Road. A good Samaritan found the wallet in the middle of Dundee Road and turned it in to the Palatine Police Department. The offender attempted to use the victim’s credit card unsuccessfully for an online purchase.

DUI

Tucker J. Nevel, 22, Schaumburg was arrested on Dec. 29 at 3:46 a.m. in the parking garage located at 251 W. Colfax. Charges included leaving the scene of an accident (Failure to Report), DUI, and BAC over .08.

Heather C. Nosker, 22, Elgin was arrested on Dec. 30 at 1:43 a.m. on westbound Dundee Road in the 1200 east block. Charges included Driving Without Headlights When Required, Improper Lane Usage, DUI, BAC over .08, and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
