Woman Arrested For Retail Theft At Walmart: Cops

A Chevrolet owner told police someone stole the catalytic converter.

Burglary from Motor Vehicle/Parts

Between Dec. 15 at 11:30 p.m. and Dec. 17 at 3:38 p.m., an unknown offender(s) removed a catalytic converter (unknown value) from the victim’s 2001 Chevrolet coupe.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Between Dec. 15 at 9:45 p.m. and Dec. 18 at 9:30 a.m. in the 200 block of N. Clark Drive, and unknown offender(s) slashed three tires total on two separate vehicles (unknown value).

Retail Theft

Karen A. Deichl, 38, of the 400 block of E. Osage Lane was arrested and charged with retail theft on Dec. 15 at Walmart 1555 N. Rand Road. A loss prevention employee observed Deichl place $130.80 worth of various merchandise into a bag, then pass the last point of sale without payment of the items.
