Woodfield Mall Will Not Be Open Overnight Black Friday
Woodfield Malls joins other area mall that will open and close on Thanksgiving and then reopen again on Black Friday morning.

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Following suit with other area malls, Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg will not remain open all night from Thanksgiving through Black Friday. The mall will open on Thanksgiving Day at 5 p.m. and will remain open through 11:59 p.m.
The mall will close and will again reopen on Black Friday at 6 a.m., according to the mall's website. Stores will then remain open through 9 p.m. no Nov. 29.

Gurnee Mills, which like Woodfield Mall is owned by the Simon Group, will also have shortened hours on Thanksgiving night. Gurnee Mills will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and remain open through 11:59 p.m. The mall will then reopen on Black Friday at 7 a.m. and stay open through 9 p.m.
Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills and Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee will both be open from 6 p.m. to midnight on Thanksgiving. Hawthorn Mall will reopen at 7 a.m. on Nov. 29 while Spring Hill will open at 8 a.m.
Each realtor inside the mall can choose if they will open, or not, on Thanksgiving. Spring Hill Mall has listed which retailers plan to open up on the holiday.
Still, some malls plan to pull all-nighters. Fashion Outlets of Chicago will open at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will keep its lights on through 10 p.m. on Black Friday. Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving and stay open through 10 p.m. the following day.
