• Lavin Cassidy School of Irish Dancing to move to Palos Heights (southwestregionalpublishing.com) — Palos Heights officials have approved a special use permit allowing the Lavin Cassidy School of Irish Dance to relocate from Worth into the former Redemption Vault space on Harlem Avenue. The long-running, award-winning studio, owned by Palos Heights resident Ann Lavin-Cassidy, is expected to draw families who may also support nearby local businesses once it moves after its 40th anniversary celebration.
   

• Palos Heights approves municipal pool improvements (southwestregionalpublishing.com) — Palos Heights residents can expect a major upgrade to the municipal pool, as the city council has hired Williams Architects to design and oversee replacement of the aging pool liner and related work. The project will move forward after this season ends, with construction planned for early spring 2027 so the new liner is ready for the 2027 swimming season.
