127th Street and IL Route 83 Will Close For 2 Weeks Starting Friday

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL — Beginning Friday, Nov. 4, the intersection of 127th Street and Illinois Route 83 will be closed while a new main installed beneath the roadway. This is the water main that feeds Palos Heights’ main pumping station on Route 83.

Depending on the weather, the project may be completed before Nov. 18, but the closure is permitted for the entire two weeks. Follow the detour signs and allow extra time to get to your destination. It’s probably best if you try to avoid the area altogether.
