149th Street and 156th Street at LaGrange Road to be Closed Friday
Detours will be posted as part of the major project to widen LaGrange Road.

The east legs of both 149th Street and 156th Street at U.S. 45 (LaGrange Road) in Orland Park will be closed for intersection reconstruction beginning, weather permitting, Friday, April 10, according to IDOT.
Detours will be posted for motorists to move around the area. The 149th Street detour will direct traffic to 147th Street and John Humphrey Drive. The 156th Street detour will direct traffic to 159th Street and 94th Avenue. Motorists will be able to access all businesses along both 149th and 156th Streets.
These two closures are part of the ongoing project along LaGrange Road, which continues through Orland Park, Orland Hills, Palos Park and Tinley Park. The 6.6-mile project, which stretches from 131st Street to 179th Street, includes roadway widening and other reconstruction to ultimately provide three lanes in each direction separated by a landscaped median.
